PERAN SEKTOR PARWISATA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI ASEAN 4

Abstrak

Sektor pariwisata merupakan sektor yang cukup penting bagi banyak negara di dunia Sektor ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan pada PDB (Produk Domestik Bruto) suatu negara, yang menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan memberikan dampak positif pada sektor ekonomi lainnya. Sektor ini juga memiliki potensi yang besar untuk meningkatkan perekonomian suatu negara, dapat dilihat melalui peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, pengeluaran pariwisata, dan sektor ekspor pariwisata. Pada kenyataannya, sektor pariwisata telah menjadi salah satu sektor ekonomi utama bagi banyak negara, termasuk di Asean. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah sektor pariwisata berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di 4 Negara ASEAN. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan teknik olah data panel. Dan memperoleh hasil bahwa satu variabel ada yang berpengaruh negative dan tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Tetapi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pendapatan yang dihasilkan oleh pariwisata dalam bentuk pengeluaran wisatawan, jumlah kedatangan wisatawan, sektor ekspor pariwisata, serta sektor pendukung lainnya, memberikan stimulus yang kuat bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi. Tidak hanya itu, Sektor wisata juga memiliki efek multiplikator yang kuat terhadap perekonomian. Pendapatan yang dihasilkan dari wisatawan mengalir ke sektor-sektor lain dalam ekonomi, seperti perdagangan, pertanian, industri kreatif, dan jasa keuangan. Hal ini dapat mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi yang lebih luas dan meningkatkan kontribusi sektor wisata terhadap PDB.

Numerous nations across the globe place a high value on the tourism industry. This industry contributes significantly to a nation's GDP (Gross Domestic Product), which boosts employment and benefits other economic areas. In addition, this industry has a great deal of potential to boost a nation's economy through raising traveler numbers, tourism-related spending, and the tourism export industry. As a matter of fact, a lot of nations, including those in ASEAN, now list tourism as one of their primary economic sectors. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the tourism industry affects the economic growth of four ASEAN nations. This study's methodology is quantitative and makes use of panel data processing technique. And obtained the results that there is one variable that has a negative and insignificant effect on economic growth. However, it can be concluded that the income generated by tourism in the form of tourist expenditure, number of tourist arrivals, the tourism export sector, and other supporting sectors, provides a strong stimulus for economic growth. Not only that, the tourism sector also has a strong multiplier effect on the economy. Income generated from tourists flows into other sectors in the economy, such as trade, agriculture, creative industries, and financial services. This can encourage broader economic growth and increase the tourism sector's contribution to GDP.
