PEMBUATAN ECO-ENZYME UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KESUBURAN TANAMAN KANGKUNG WARGA KAMPUNG HOLTEKAMP DISTRIK MUARA TAMI KOTA JAYAPURA

Abstrak

The impact of the scarcity of subsidized non-organic fertilizers which causes the agricultural production of Holtekamp villagers to decrease so that there needs to be other alternatives to subsidized fertilizers, one of which is Eco-enzyme. The aims of this research are 1). Knowing how to make Eco-enzyme using household organic waste. 2). Knowing the effect of Eco-enzyme on the growth of kale. 3). Knowing the comparison of plant growth that was given eco-enzyme with plants without giving eco-enzyme. Methods: The design of this study used a randomized block design (RAK). The treatments used in this study were P1 (without treatment or without Eco-enzyme administration), P2 (Eco-enzyme administration) with a dose of Eco-enzyme 10 ml/l water. Parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves, and leaf area (〖cm〗^2). The results showed that the administration of Eco-enzyme fluids could increase the fertility of water spinach plants. Where, kale without Eco-enzyme at the age of 25 days had a height of 21 cm, 21.2 cm, and 21.2 cm, many leaves: 8, 9, and 9, and leaf area: 19.36 cm2, 17.64 cm2, and 16.59 cm2. Meanwhile, kale plants that were given Eco-enzyme at the age of 25 days had a height of: 28.7 cm, 28.5 cm, and 28 cm, many leaves: 12, 12, and 11, and leaf area: 27 cm2, 25 cm2, and 24.5 cm2. From the process of making Eco-enzyme, it can be seen how to make it using ingredients from leftover vegetables or fruit skins added with water and sugar with a fermentation process for 3 months to produce eco-enzyme products ready for use; provision of Eco-enzyme can increase the fertility (growth rate) of kale plants thereby increasing crop production; and Water spinach plants that were given the Eco-enzyme had a faster growth rate than the kale plants without the Eco-enzyme
