Abstrak

Islamic education is the science of education based on the Qur'an, hadith, and reason. The main goal is to get closer to Allah and form Muslim individuals who have faith, piety, and noble character. Islamic education not only supports academic aspects but also spiritual and moral values. Imam Al-Ghazali, a great thinker in Islam, emphasized the importance of getting closer to Allah through education. The three main terms in the concept of Islamic education are tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib. Tarbiyah focuses on developing learners' physical, intellectual, social, aesthetic and spiritual potential. Ta'lim is a teaching process that conveys knowledge, wisdom, and skills. Ta'dib emphasizes recognition and acknowledgement of God's rules and order, aiming to instill moral and ethical values. The research method used is a systematic literature review to collect, analyze, and synthesize findings from relevant research. The results show that the concepts of tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib have an important role in forming a complete Muslim individual. Islamic education aims to create a harmonious life by combining the functions of faith, knowledge, and charity. The functions of Islamic education include cultural maintenance, knowledge innovation, and personal development, with a focus on intellect, skills, and faith. Islamic education is an integral and continuous process, aiming to form a person who is responsible, noble, and able to live life in accordance with religious values. Through Islamic education, it is expected to create a harmonious and complete individual, able to integrate religious values in every aspect of his life.
