DARI TATAP MUKA KE LAYAR: PENGARUH PENGGUNAN MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP POLA KOMUNIKASI ANTAR PRIBADI GENERASI Z

Abstrak

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam cara manusia berkomunikasi, khususnya pada Generasi Z yang tumbuh dan berkembang di tengah kemajuan media sosial. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap pola komunikasi antarpribadi Generasi Z. Dengan pendekatan kajian pustaka, artikel ini membahas pergeseran dari komunikasi tatap muka ke komunikasi berbasis layar, dampak positif dan negatif media sosial, serta implikasinya terhadap kualitas hubungan interpersonal. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial mempermudah interaksi dan memperluas jejaring sosial, namun juga berpotensi mengurangi kedalaman komunikasi, empati, dan keterampilan komunikasi langsung.

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the way humans communicate, particularly among Generation Z, who have grown and developed alongside the rapid advancement of social media. This article aims to analyze the influence of social media usage on the interpersonal communication patterns of Generation Z. Using a literature review approach, this study discusses the shift from face-to-face communication to screen-based communication, the positive and negative impacts of social media, and its implications for the quality of interpersonal relationships. The findings indicate that social media facilitates interaction and expands social networks; however, it also has the potential to reduce communication depth, empathy, and direct communication skills.
