Abstrak

This study examines the relationship between reading motivation and parental support on the academic performance of eighth-grade students at SMP N 1 Maja. Using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression methods, the study found that reading motivation and parental support do not significantly affect students' academic achievement, either partially or simultaneously. Data were collected through surveys and documentation, with 58 students selected as samples from a population of 67. The results indicate that reading motivation and parental support contribute only 1% to academic performance, with the remaining influence coming from other variables not examined in this study.
