Abstrak

Relevance of sociological theories in Islamic education, highlighting the role of education as a tool to understand and address social issues in society. Employing a library research method, the study collects various sociological theories to explore their application in enhancing the quality of Islamic education. The findings indicate that structural functionalism, symbolic interactionism, conflict theory, and exchange theory significantly contribute to understanding the dynamics of education and its role in society. Through the approach of Islamic educational sociology, it is hoped that solutions can be found for social challenges and the reinforcement of Islamic values in daily life. This article aims to provide deeper insights into the interaction between education and social phenomena, as well as to encourage a better understanding of the role of education in Muslim communities
