Artikel ini membahas instrumen penilaian merupakan komponen penting dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) untuk mengukur pencapaian kompetensi peserta didik secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai jenis instrumen penilaian dalam PAI meliputi tes, non-tes, penilaian autentik, dan penilaian berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), serta menganalisis kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing instrumen. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber pustaka relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes efektif mengukur aspek kognitif melalui soal objektif dan subjektif, instrumen non-tes tepat menilai aspek afektif dan psikomotorik melalui observasi dan wawancara, penilaian autentik menekankan penerapan pengetahuan dalam situasi nyata, dan penilaian HOTS mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Setiap instrumen memiliki kelebihan dan kelemahan tersendiri, sehingga penerapan secara seimbang diperlukan untuk memperoleh gambaran komprehensif perkembangan peserta didik sesuai tujuan pembelajaran PAI dalam membentuk pribadi beriman, berakhlak mulia, dan mampu mengamalkan nilai-nilai keislaman.
This article discusses the assessment instruments are essential components in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for measuring students' competency achievement comprehensively. This research aims to examine various types of assessment instruments in PAI including tests, non-tests, authentic assessment, and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based assessment, as well as to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each instrument. The method used is literature study by analyzing various relevant library sources. The research findings indicate that test instruments are effective in measuring cognitive aspects through objective and subjective questions, non-test instruments are appropriate for assessing affective and psychomotor aspects through observation and interviews, authentic assessment emphasizes the application of knowledge in real situations, and HOTS assessment encourages critical and creative thinking abilities. Each instrument has its own advantages and disadvantages, therefore balanced implementation is necessary to obtain a comprehensive picture of students' development in accordance with PAI learning objectives in forming faithful individuals with noble character who are capable of practicing Islamic values.
