Abstrak

This study aims to determine the effect of age, gender, educational level, and marital status on the chances of someone becoming educated unemployed in Riau Province. The data used is the National Labor Force Survey of Riau Province in August 2023. The study used the binary logistic regression method with SPSS Version 25. Simultaneously, the variables of age, gender, educational level, and marital status have an influence on increasing the chances of someone becoming educated unemployed. Subjects who have the chance to become educated unemployed are dominated by young people (15-24 years), women, high school graduates/equivalent, and unmarried. Young people (15-24 years) have a greater chance of becoming educated unemployed than adults (15-64 years), women have a greater chance of becoming educated unemployed than men, high school graduates/equivalent have a greater chance of becoming educated unemployed than diploma and bachelor's degrees, and unmarried marital status has a greater chance of becoming educated unemployed than those who are married.
