Program Pengenalan Lingkungan Persekolahan (PLP) merupakan instrumen penting dalam membentuk kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional mahasiswa calon pendidik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi program PLP di Kepesantrenan Institut Agama Islam (IAI) Hidayatullah Batam dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa melalui kegiatan micro teaching dan pengabdian berbasis pesantren. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa analisis dokumen laporan PLP dan observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan seperti praktik mengajar diniah, halaqah Al-Qur'an, kultum, hingga pemberdayaan masjid secara signifikan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, kemampuan komunikasi, dan keterampilan pengelolaan kelas mahasiswa. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti fluktuasi konsentrasi santri dan perbedaan latar belakang pendidikan warga belajar, upaya solutif melalui pendekatan persuasif dan pemberian motivasi mampu menjaga efektivitas program. Disimpulkan bahwa implementasi PLP yang terstruktur dan terbimbing mampu mentransformasi teori perkuliahan menjadi keterampilan praktis yang krusial bagi kesiapan profesi mahasiswa Manajemen Pendidikan Islam.
ntroduction to the School Environment (PLP) is a vital instrument in developing the pedagogical and professional competencies of prospective student teachers. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the PLP program at the Hidayatullah Islamic Institute (IAI) Batam Islamic Boarding School in enhancing students' teaching abilities through boarding school-based micro-teaching and service activities. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques involving the analysis of PLP report documents and field observations. The results indicate that activities such as Diniyyah teaching practices, Al-Qur'an halaqah, kultum (short lectures), and mosque empowerment significantly bolster students' self-confidence, communication skills, and classroom management abilities. Despite encountering obstacles—such as fluctuations in student concentration and diverse educational backgrounds among pupils—remedial efforts through persuasive approaches and motivational support have maintained the program's effectiveness. The study concludes that the structured and mentored implementation of PLP successfully transforms theoretical knowledge into practical skills, which are crucial for the professional readiness of Islamic Education Management students.
