PENGARUH MEDITASI MINDFULLNESS TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN LANSIA DI DUSUN CANDI 3 SARDONOHARJO NGAGLIK SLEMAN TAHUN 2024

Latar Belakang : Lansia memiliki kecenderungan mengalami gangguan kecemasan. Kecemasan yang dialami lansia di Sardonoharjo disebabkan dari berbagai faktor lingkungan antara lain anggota keluarga yang jauh, kurangnya kebutuhan ekonomi, kesulitan tidur dan sulit untuk berkonsentrasi. Meditasi Mindfullness diberikan untuk mengurangi tingkat kecemasan yang dirasakan oleh lansia. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui karakteristik lansia berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, pekerjaan dan pengaruh Meditasi Mindfullness terhadap Tingkat Kecemasan Lansia di Dusun Candi 3, Sardonoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun 2024. Metode Penelitian: Desain penelitian dengan Pre-Eksperimental One-Group Pretest-Postest, dengan teknik Purposive sampling sebanyak 37 lansia. Kuesioner menggunakan alat ukur Geriatric Anxiety Scale dan analisis data menggunakan Wilcoxon Text dengan komputerisasi. Hasil: Hasil penelitian diperoleh usia 60-74 tahun 23 lansia (69.7%), jenis kelamin perempuan yaitu 24 lansia (72.2%), tingkat pendidikan SD sebanyak 13 lansia (39.4%), yang bekerja yaitu 22 lansia (66.7%), kecemasan sebelum intervensi Meditasi Mindfullness yaitu kategori cemas berat (72.7%), dan sesudah intervensi kecemasan menurun menjadi kategori cemas sedang (66.7%), cemas ringan (29.7%). Hasil uji wilcoxon sebesar 0.000 (p-value < 0,05). Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh Meditasi Mindfullness terhadap Tingkat Kecemasan Lansia di Dusun Candi 3, Sardonoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun 2024. Saran: Bagi peneliti selanjutnya mengembangkan penelitian tentang pengaruh Meditasi Mindfullness dengan menggunakan kelompok kontrol.
Background: The elderly tend to experience anxiety disorders. Anxiety experienced by the elderly in Sardonoharjo is caused by various environmental factors, including distant family members, economic constraints, sleep difficulties, and concentration issues. Mindfulness meditation is given to reduce the level of anxiety felt by the elderly. Objective: This study aims to investigate the characteristics of the elderly based on age, gender, education, occupation, and the influence of mindfulness meditation on the anxiety levels of the elderly in Candi 3 Hamlet, Sardonoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman Yogyakarta in 2024. Method: This was a pre-experimental one-group pretest-postest design, with a purposive sampling technique to select 37 elderly participants. The Geriatric Anxiety Scale questionnaire was administered to measure anxiety levels, and data analysis was conducted using Wilcoxon Text with computerization. Result: The study found 23 participants (69.7%) were between 60-74 years old, 24 participants (72.2%) were female, 13 participants (39.4%) had a primary education level, 22 participants (66.7%) were employed, and 72.7% of participants experienced severe anxiety before the Mindfulness Meditation intervention. After the intervention, anxiety decreased to moderate (66.7%) and mild (29.7%). The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Conclusion: There is an impact of mindfulness meditation on the anxiety levels of the elderly in Candi 3 Hamlet, Sardonoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman Yogyakarta in 2024. Suggestion: Future researchers are advised to develop research on the influence of mindfulness meditation using a control group.
